JCEP 2025 Application

Award Intent

  • The JCEP Team Award is intended to recognize multi-disciplinary work within our member associations that has taken place since the last JCEP Conference. Teams and team work that began before and will continue after that time are still eligible.

Recognition

  • This state-level award includes a $1000 cash prize to be divided equally among team members.
  • The award-winning nomination will be presented/shared at the JCEP Annual Conference.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible for the JCEP Team Award, a team must have two or more “members in good standing” representing different JCEP member associations (ESP, WACAA, WAE4- HYDP, WEAFCS, or WEECDA) and at least two different program areas.
  • The described educational program must meritoriously meet the need(s) identified within the community or communities involved.

NOMINATION FORMAT AND PROCEDURES:

1. Name or title of the educational program or team being nominated for the award. 

2. Name, title/position, program area, and association membership(s) for each team member. 

3. Nominator’s contact information (including name, e-mail address, phone number).

4. Who will accept this award (if chosen) at the JCEP Conference All Associations Luncheon. Please include the name and email address for all who will be in attendance.

5. Nomination Statement: Please provide a brief (600 word maximum) description of the program/team and how it addresses the award criteria

Criteria:

  1. A need(s) within the community(ies) is identified and the program meets the identified need(s). (10 points)
  2. The audience and situation are described. The relationship to educational programs is detailed and clear. (10 points)
  3. A compelling case for the importance/value of taking a team approach, being multi-disciplinary, and working across program areas to address the identified need is presented. The role of each team member is specified including the role of community partners if applicable. Each team member contributes in a unique and meaningful way. (40 points)
  4. Measurable outcome(s) with respect to the team efforts are detailed including the program’s short-term impacts on the audience or community’s knowledge gained, behavior change, and/or increased capacity. Also include plans and any results for measuring/tracking intermediate and long-term outcomes. (20 points)
  5. The team has outlined a plan for sharing the results of the program with colleagues. (10 points)

 Bonus points if the team provides evidence of already sharing the results. (10 points)
