The Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts presents “From the Heart” April 9- June 22, 2014. In the spirit of “From the Heart” WMQFA is waiving the individual admission fees for this extraordinary exhibit running through June 22nd.

Shawano County 4-H Older Youth Group makes blankets for the Red Cross

The Shawano County 4-H Older Youth Group tied ten blankets for the American Red Cross. The club financed the blankets through their annual 4-H Food Stand fundraiser.

Service project in Manitowoc County sends Little Dresses to Africa

Over 350 pillowcase dresses were constructed by 4-H members, leaders, and HCE members in Manitowoc County. Local thrift shops and families donated pillowcases, thread and notions to make dresses. These dresses will be delivered to orphan girls in villages across the continent of Africa by local missionary groups from Manitowoc County.

Service is an important component of every 4-H experience. In Manitowoc County, the Clarks Mills Good Sports 4-H Club takes service very seriously, completing several projects every year. Cleaning up more than two miles of Manitowoc County highway and making holiday cards for for military service men and women, veterans, and their families are just a couple ways they contribute to their local and national communities.
