Activity: Roadside clean-up

Group: Forest Hills 4-H Club — Fond du Lac County

Date of Activity: May 4, 2013

Number of people: 20 youth; 4 adults

Number of hours: 1 hour per person

Members of the Forest Hills 4-H club walked on the sides of the roads in Dotyville and picked up trash left along the sides of the road. After the members finish picking up the trash along the sides of the road, they recycled the recyclable items, and threw the garbage in the dumpster.  The roads and ditches of Dotyville were left cleaner, and less polluted.

The youth engaged in this project learned how important it is to keep our roads and towns clean. The Forest Hills 4-H Club does this service each year.
