Extension receives federal funding from USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and other sources. As a result, we must comply with specific federal nondiscrimination laws and policies. These laws and policies prohibit discrimination in Extension programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency)*, sex (including pregnancy or parental status), age, disability, religion, and political beliefs. (Not all bases apply to all programs.) Reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity is prohibited.
*Title VI’s protection from race, color, or national origin discrimination extends to individuals based on their (i) actual or perceived shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics, or (ii) citizenship or residency in a country with a dominant religion or distinct religious identity.
