Professional Development Fund Application Materials

Are you looking for financial support for upcoming professional development opportunities? All members in good standing of WAE4-HYDP are eligible to apply for a Professional Development Funds grant. Grants will be awarded on a quarterly basis and up to $1000 can be awarded in any quarter. Application deadlines are February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1. More information about the grants and links to application materials are found below. Applications are to be sent to the treasurer.  For questions or further information please contact a committee member.

Guidelines

  • All types of professional development are encouraged and accepted, except National Conference since there are separate funds to support that.
  • Must be a current member of the Association
  • The committee decides the amount of funding for those applying
  • Recipients can receive funding once every 3 years (the committee may submit a request to the Board for an exception to this guideline.)

Requirements

Recipients of Professional Development funds are asked to give a no more than 2 minute report at the Annual Association meeting or e-mail a report within three months of the experience to the committee Treasurer.

Writing Suggestions

Applications should be as concise as possible (3 page maximum).  If available, applicants can provide a conference brochure or other documentation to assist the committee in better understanding the request.
