They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. When using images on your site, it is important to keep the file size small, to add alternative text and to make sure to only use images that are not infringing on the image creator’s copyright. Finding and Using Images covers the legal issues and how to find suitable images online.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Remember, the larger the file size, the longer it will take to load. Keeping your file sizes small, speeds up your web page access times. Typically, large high-quality images should be kept between 500px and 900px wide (depending on the width you need and the width of your theme).
