Institute Assignments Continue

Integrated specialist assignments were sent out at the beginning of this week. Staff within the former CNRED, 4-HYD, and ANRE program areas have all received proposed institute assignments through email. The next groups that we will work with will be Family Living staff and any remaining staff that need an assignment. If you have any questions or concerns about the process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at nextgencommunications@ces.uwex.edu.

County Educator Vacancies:

  • Area Extension Directors (AEDs) continue to work through the hiring process to fill more than 40 priority vacancies through our two main waves of hiring for county educators. Twenty-four of the positions have been filled. The remaining positions to be filled in the first two waves of hiring are in various stages of the interview process, and there is one position posted at this time.
  • With regards to remaining county-based educator vacancies in county contracts, the AEDs proposed recommended solutions to the Assistant and Associate Deans to meet continued demand for Cooperative Extension programming and to minimize gaps in service. Over half of the proposed solutions include opportunities for cross-county program coverage. AEDs will be working with their county partners and Assistant Deans on the prioritized solutions in the coming weeks.

Recent Hires: Two Positive Youth Development educators will come on board in April and May.
